Long Lunch with Simon Marnie

A feast. A treasured voice. A heartfelt conversation.

This event was held in June 2025

We enjoyed a special afternoon celebrating storytelling, seasonal food, and community connection hosted by Jane Moxon and Rosie Cupitt with one of Australia's most recognisable radio voices, Simon Marnie.

For over two decades, Simon was the familiar companion to weekend mornings across NSW, hosting ABC Radio Sydney's beloved Weekend Mornings show. His passion for local produce, live music, regional talent, and honest conversation made him a cultural touchstone for countless listeners and a treasured supporter of the hospitality world.

In late 2024, Simon's departure from the ABC sparked a wave of emotion from fans and foodies alike. Now, for one afternoon only, we're bringing Simon to the South Coast to reflect on his broadcasting journey, share stories from the mic, and explore what comes next.

We enjoyed great food, laughter, thoughtful storytelling - and maybe even a few radio secrets were revealed.
