Take in the view at Didthul Mountain

To get a real sense of thearea's unique nature and bountiful national parks, it’s worth a trip up to the peak of Didthul. There,you'll be rewarded with 360-degree views of cliffs and gorges within the Budawang Wilderness, all carved by the Clyde River.

Whale Watching 

More than 30,000 whales migrate along the NSW coast between May and November. This route is known as the Humpback Highway. Take to the water withJervis Bay WildorDiscover Jervis Bayand tour around a well-known resting point for the mammals, also taking in sightings of dolphins, seals and penguins. 

To stay close to Ulladulla, there is a whale viewing area at the Ulladulla lighthouse, Warden Head, located 5 minutes away. During the migration season, it's often possible to see the whales closely from this vantage point, so bring your phone along for some incredible Instagram moments. With plenty of walking tracks close by that lead to tall headlands, the surrounding area also bursts with other fantastic viewpoints. Nearby you can also go to Rennies Beach and Bannisters Head, two other local hotspots.

The South Coast is the perfect setting to learn to surf. We have some of the greatest surf schools at our fingertips. Learn from a legend and take a group class withPam Burridge– one of the first women in Australia to become a full-time professional surfer! Before you know it, you will be riding the waves of Mollymook, Narrawallee or Bendalong Beach. 

Walking Tracks 

Get back to nature and enjoy one of the many scenic trails available in the local area. Find abundant seasonal flora, bird watching, or discover where the bush meets the beach. Bike Riding and Mountain Bike Riding 

Bring your bike and enjoy leisurely rides to beaches, lakes, inlets, and estuaries. Recommended Bike Routes 

  • Milton to Burrill Lake – 20kms: From Milton’s historic village, coastal vistas and downhill run to Burrill Lake.
  • Milton to Termeil – 27kms: Includes Monkey Mountain with more sweeping views from Milton, varied rural pursuits and little traffic for the long downhill run to Termeil.
  • Milton and back, via Ulladulla, Mollymook and Narwallee – 14kms: Milton, Ulladulla, Mollymook, Narrawallee cycleways.
  • Coastal nature trail – 10kms: Millards Creek cycleway, out to Warden Heads and the lighthouse and back to Ulladulla harbour.
  • Coastal delights – 15kms: Enjoy the coastal views of Ulladulla, Mollymook and Narawallee.
  • Kiola and Bawley Point – 32kms: Forest trails and coastal road riding.
  • Didthul to Milton – 45kms: From the Mountain to town.
  • Excellent Mountain Bike tracks just south of Ulladulla in the Woodburn State Forest are maintained by the passionate crew fromMilton Ulladulla Mountain BikersClub.
