Last month we welcomed Chris Morrison to the Front of House Manager role. We're so excited to share his story with you!

Chris has over a decade of successful experience leading teams in the hospitality industry and sports and recreation. His most recent work was as the Managing Director of The Charlie, a restaurant and bar in Sydney focusing on warm service, creative cocktails, and seasonal share plates.

Chris graduated from ACPE with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and spent much of his earlier professional career coordinating sport and recreation within the education sector. He developed a keen interest in team dynamics and group performance during this time. Growing up on footy fields and basketball courts, the sport has always been a significant part of Chris' life.

Away from sports, Chris is fascinated with wine and spends much of his downtime exploring (and glugging) it. What he loves most about wine is its role in bringing people together—especially when sharing a bottle over a good meal! Playing a small part in these special moments attracts Chris to hospitality. 

Chris and his wife, Jordy, are looking forward to the big move south with their son, Cooper (age 2) and newborn daughter Florence.

We asked Chris what wine he has enjoyed getting acquainted with so far.TheBout a Boutwas one of the first wines I drank with the Cupitt family; they told me the foundation story of how it is made with the pressings from the white wines with creative control handed to the team. It is a unique wine only to be created once, and a reflection of that vintage and the cellar team that worked that particular vintage; it is textural and tasty but embodies the values of team and creativity that are so important to the way Cupitt's operates.
