Remembering Dusty

Today, 8 July, is the 17th anniversary of the day Dusty the Doberman was born. Sadly, we lost this beautiful companion 6 years ago in 2016. Anyone who knew him loved him dearly, and we are so happy we decided to name one of our most celebrated wines in his name. Like Dusty, we love this wine unconditionally and have many, many fond memories of enjoying it. We hope you do too.

The first Dusty Dog Shiraz was made in 2013 and won a gold medal and best Shiraz in show trophy at the Australian Highlands Show in 2014, judged by Industry legend Huon Hooke.

Each vintage has been meticulously made, receiving great reviews annually from James Halliday Wine Companion, including 95 points (Gold) in 2019.

To make Dusty Dog, we source pristine handpicked fruit from Hilltops NSW. A cool climate region that offers more medium body, bright fruit and often spicy, savoury or floral expressions of Shiraz. The wine is aged for a year in premium oak barriques. A careful barrel selection from all the Shiraz will go into the Dusty Dog Shiraz.

If you have a bottle ofDusty Dog Shirazin your Cellar, we encourage you to pull it and have a toast to Dusty. Shiraz
