Fundraising for Safe Water
This year as part of the Melbourne Cup festivities, we raised money for Safe Water Community Care in Ulladulla. We are very proud to announce we raised $1325.50. The funds were raised from ticket sales to the Long Table Lunch, a raffle with prizes from Milton retailers, wine and beer from Cupitt's Estate, and profits from the Hazy 8 beer sales.Â
We want to express our gratitude to the Milton businesses that contributed. We also highly recommend visiting them on your next visit to Milton.Â
Thank you to all the guests who joined the Cupitt family for the Melbourne Cup Long Table Lunch, it was a great day, and everyone looked fabulous.
Safe Waters Community Care Inc.was established in August 2019 by a small committee that cares about our local community and has the heart to assist the most vulnerable people in our local area, including, but not limited to, people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and helping people with substance misuse difficulties.
'Being a not-for-profit local charity organisation, we rely on donations and events from our community to keep our service operational. Without these events and donations, we would not be able to provide a safe place for people experiencing homelessness to stay. Because of the community support we receive, we can provide a warm bed, a healthy home-cooked meal, laundry and bathroom facilities and most importantly, connection with our wonderful team of volunteers. The team at Safe Waters cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support and generosity.'Â
