Not every wine we make fits neatly into a core range.
Some begin as questions.

Some come from parcels of fruit that spark a different idea.
Our Project Wines are small batch, experimental releases that give our winemaking team space to explore. They don’t always follow the rules. They don’t always repeat. But they are often the bottles people talk about most.
These wines are made in very small volumes. That’s intentional. Project releases are about exploration, not scale.
They’re released first to our Wine Club. In many cases, the allocation doesn’t stretch much further.

Project Wine #1
Shiraz / Pinot 2024
A tribute to one of the very few indigenous wine styles of NSW. Pioneered by one of our greatest winemakers, and a personal hero, Maurice O’Shea..
This wine is still very slowly coming together in the bottle and will benefit from more time. Medium-weight and tight-grained, it carries structure without heaviness. With patience, expect it to move toward tiramisu, cherry juice, sous bois and dark chocolate.
Built thoughtfully. Built to evolve. Built for those who enjoy watching a wine find its place.
Project Wine #2
Gamay 2024
Wholebunch fermentation lends this nose a fragrant lift. Blood plum, tart mulberry, racchis, cocoa powder, senescence.
The palate is bright and energetic. Cranberry juice, pomegranate, green peppercorn and more, framed by fine tannin.
This is the kind of wine that calls for hard cheese and good company. Pour it, let it open up, and settle in.
Project Wine #4
Graciano 2025
Maybe the most characterful fruit you could ask for, and therefore, the most characterful wine.
The end product smells exactly as the fruit did, right out of the press. That purity is rare.
Think dried oregano, pressed flowers, blue fruit and rhubarb. Juicy, guzzlable, gorgeous. We defy you not to finish the bottle you hold. We’ve never managed it.
These are the wines that give us creative room. They don’t replace what we’re known for, they sit just outside it. Small by design, they’re released first to our Wine Club. Often, that’s the only place you’ll find them.
